For reading, you guys will do following. This will be collected before reading is over. 

In your red literature books, turn to page 326 to the story “The War of the Wall”. You will read the story and answer the comprehension questions on page 335. You need to answer questions 1,2,3,5,6,7, and 8 on a separate sheet of paper.

In writing you will answer following: Write an extended response (includes intro and conclusion) answering the following question: The 3 worst things about being a slave are…

On a sheet to be handed in, create one example of 5 literary devices. You choose 4 of them. You HAVE to choose either sensory detail or imagery. 

These should be grade appropriate examples. So no "The cat wears a hat." It should be more advanced than that.
